Client Spotlight: Professional Face to Face Fundraising Association

Brand Strides is passionate about the clients we work with and the work that they do. We love to help our clients reach their goals and elevate their marketing strategy. For this client spotlight, we want to highlight the Professional Face to Face Fundraising Association and the professional speaking engagement event they held back in February 2023.

The Professional Face to Face Fundraising Association

The PFFA is the self regulatory agency for nonprofits that use face-to-face fundraising, provide fundraising services, and work to help non profits feel confident in their abilities to fundraise. This organization was formed by both non profit organizations as well as professional fundraising agencies to ensure that there are sustainable fundraising practices available for non profits.

The Professional Speaking Engagement Event

The PFFA seeks to empower non profits to feel confident in their ability to fundraise. Through their events, they educate non profits on the art of face-to-face selling and provide them with ways to reach their target audiences. Here are some highlights from the presentation that Tracy Hanford, Founder and Brand Marketer of Brand Strides share at the event back in February:

#1: Benefits of Face to Face Marketing

They outlined the benefits of face to face marketing which include creating a positive experience for customers, more effective communication, better consumer knowledge, and increased trust. Through face to face marketing, you can establish a personal relationship with the consumer faster.

  1. Create a positive experience: Creates an opportunity to show that you appreciate the customer and increases the probability of a sale
  2. More effective communication: Spoken words leave less up to interpretation and convey a more clear tone than written messages
  3. Better customer knowledge: Face to face communication can help provide insights into a customer’s lifestyle and personality. This can help you better structure your advertisements.
  4. Increased trust: Speaking in person can help advance your brand while developing trust

#2: Branding Tips

  1. Delight and Inspire: Leave a note for a customer to find as a surprise
  2. Get advice from your creative friends: Don’t be afraid to take chances
  3. Post on social media according to your audience’s lifestyle
  4. Own your brand colors and create an identity
  5. Take field trips and talk like a human
  6. Research as much as you can about branding
  7. Review and evaluate your brand regularly

#3: Trends for 2023

  1. Continued growth of social media
  2. Growth of artificial intelligence (AI)
  3. Increased focus on data protection and privacy
  4. Greater emphasis on the customer experience
  5. Voice technology and video content

#4: How to Build Brand Trust

  1. Deliver on your promises
  2. Be transparent and open with your consumers
  3. Prioritize customer service
  4. Build a strong online presence
  5. Build a positive reputation
  6. Deliver consistent messaging

While these are four of the main takeaways from this speaking engagement, this event provided so much information for strategies to use if you’re a non profit organization. This organization helps educate and spread awareness of new and improved fundraising strategies. As a non profit organization, we highly recommend learning more about  PFFA, they host multiple events throughout the year. So go ahead and get signed up for the next one:
